As with our other services, Aridland Water Services provides a free on-site consultation where our consultant, Chris Trabilsie will visit the site, assess the situation and discuss options with you. He will then either provide a quotation on the spot, or within a couple of days - depending on the complexity of the job you want done.
He will test the soil to ensure it is a healthy growing medium - imperative for a healthy lawn, and can advise, if a lawn is already in place, whether it can in fact be rejuvenated, rather than being replaced; a cost effective option if it can be done.
He will also discuss the most appropriate lawn variety for the area, depending on shade, water requirements, pets etc. There are usually a number of options available which will be discussed with you at the consultation.
We will always advise the option that is best for our clients, as maintaining client relationships is the focus of our business.

Lawn rejuvenation can involve a number of techniques; the Verti-drain method (a method of aeration - see diagram at bottom of page), coring, over-seeding, weed and pest control, scarifying and/or fertilising programs.
The Verti-drain method is a superior method of aeration whereby it -
- Relieves soil compaction
- Provides deep aeration to the soil
- Improves soil drainage
- Encourages deeper root growth and allows fertiliser and water ot penetrate deeper into the soil in the summer (therefore requiring less watering), and improves drainage in the winter.
This therefore means a better lawn which uses water more efficiently and effectively! This method is used by many specialised premium turf areas in SA such as Adelaide Oval, Royal Adelaide, Glenelg and Grange Golf Courses.
Aridland Water Services is the only lawn contractor having access to a residential "walk behind" model of this machine (all other models are tractor mounted) and therefore has exclusive access to the Verti-drain method for residential lawns.
